Role and Requirements
We now seek a Health Economist to join our Health Economics group in Oxford. Our Health Economics team is respected in the health technology assessment field for the quality of their work and methodological innovation. The candidate recruited for this role will be expected to contribute to all aspects of the department’s work and particularly to further their skills in decision modelling.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master’s degree or equivalent in health economics or a related quantitative discipline, such as operational research, statistics, or epidemiology. Applications from candidates with other scientific or quantitative post-graduate degrees and an interest in health technology appraisal are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience in economic evaluation (including trial- or model-based cost-effectiveness analysis)
- A strong desire to learn and to gain a deep understanding of the work of the department
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- High self-motivation
- Leadership potential
